About Refuge Doula Services

Hi there! I'm Emma Buchanan; follower of Christ, wife, mama, and certified birth nerd. I believe birth is a normal, physiological, and deeply spiritual process. Whether it is your first birth or your fifth, you deserve to feel supported through every season of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My goal is to offer a peaceful, joyful, and encouraging presence through all of those seasons. If you love Jesus and believe in the beauty and sanctity of birth, I would be honored to walk alongside you!

My service area

I serve Pierce county and surrounding areas. Below is a map of my service radius. If you are slightly outside of range, still contact me. Depending on my client load I may be able to accommodate a longer drive or can recommend a doula in that area! I do not serve any islands that require ferry travel.
